A Message from Kanga
We had fun today at camp wearing our pjs, getting glitter tattoos, making bracelets and anklets, geocaching, playing games, decorating bandanas, and learning about Girl Scouting around the world!
Yesterday, more catapults and papyrus were made, as well as votive candle holders (resembling the stained glass of churches in Europe). Fun was had at tournament games, geocaching, swimming in Atlantis (okay it was the pool!), and archery in “Sherwood Forest.” We had many royal guests, wizards, and other friends from the Renaissance!
Tomorrow is “crazy hair day” and our “Back to the Future” inventions contest submission are due. What do you think will be invented in your future?
See you tomorrow!

We understand that you are anxious to pick-up your camper from Camp Franklin Park, but pickup vehicles arrived at 2:20pm today for our camp that ends at 3pm. This is creating a safety issue and possible county violations by vehicles blocking entrances to both the park and swimming pool areas. These violations have put us in jeopardy of losing our privilege to use this park for camp next year.
We have enjoyed a 15 year relationship with Franklin Park and hope to be able to continue, but in order to do this, we must have your cooperation.
Please follow these procedures for the rest of the week of camp:
- Vehicle line up will begin at 2:45pm. Any vehicles lining up prior to 2:45pm will be asked to leave and return at that time.
- If you need to pick-up your camper early, please arrive prior to 2:30pm, park near the big, white tent, bring the voucher with you and we will dismiss your camper to you. If you need to pick-up prior to 2:30pm, please send a written note (not email) with your camper that morning.
Review our 2014 Parent Pickup Procedures.
